Imagine if walls could talk

If a beach could sit you down and tell the tales of the surf, the daytime sandcastles and the late night bonfires. If a house could recall a families first laughs and tears. If coffee shops preserved lost connections and the seeds of new ideas. Using social, Ground Signal aimed to seamlessly integrate with our stories, enhancing our experiences as they evolve with location, time, people,
and events.

A location is a place, it can evoke a feeling, it can transport us in more ways than one- it is the center of our experiences, the skeleton of every body of a story, Places are the reason we have any stories to tell at all.

Vision

With this narrative in mind the team set out to establish a narrative that was both technical and emotive. Our goal was to completely reimagine the way that users interact with complex data strings using machine learning and natural language to create a more human experience.

Using the lens of social and machine learning technology, we set
out to build an intuitive and engaging platform and brand experience.

research and Iteration

To our users, complex data outputs were equally as important as understanding emotional shifts or unusual activity. We began to iterate ways to transform complex data analyses into visual representations of behavioral patterns.

voice and tone

Inspired by the intersection of local cultures and technology we developed an accessible voice and tone that would go on to influence written content across touch-points and serve as the basis for our identity system and visual language.

After establishing a visual frame work, we created a landing dashboard that allowed users to search parcel locations world wide with an interactive map.

The core of the platform was conceptually driven by a 3
lens narrative: Understand, Discover, and Engage. Each panel
functions autonomously, enabling users to quickly navigate
and compare geo-spatial data visualizations in real time.
